The Straight Girl’s Guide to Sleeping with Chicks by Jen Sincero. There’s not alot about this book I’d sincerely recommend to anyone. The blurb on the back of the book describes it as “ideal for any woman looking to spice up things with her boyfriend, break the ice with a best friend, or simply add a few just-in-case items to her sexual menu.” Blech.
My take on subtle queer-phobia and positioning of women’s sexuality solely in relation to heterosexual pleasure, well, that’s for another day, another post.
Today, I just wanted to share with you a very, very deep, important question I found on page 136 wedged somewhere between a list of “straight” celebrities who have dabbled with other women and the author’s patronizing reminders that lesbians have feeling, too, so you shouldn’t lead them on about a relationship.
The question, complete with an oh-so-scientific pie chart* of the responses is:
“If somebody shot you while you were getting eaten out, what would be the last sensation you’d want to feel on your pussy before you died?”
I hope you’re laughing out loud like I did.
Enjoy the sunshine,
Lee
P.S. * Okay, since I know you’re probably really pondering right about now, you might want to know the options as offered by the pie chart: flat tounge, pointed tounge, clit-suck, humming, pinching, fingering, or face plant.
36 % of respondents voted for the clit-suck. I don’t know, folks, do you think discussions of safety and pleasure between partners need to start including what tounge position to assume when the bullets start flying?

I think my brain just leaked out of my ear and ran for the hills after reading that entry.
As a bi woman, the fact that this so called book was written let alone published really burns my ass.
Its bad enough dealing with bi-phobia and homophobia from people who don’t know a flipping thing about being bisexual, truly in word and deed. I’d love to give that twit a piece of my mind, and I hope that I never, ever see that tripe anywhere near Early 2 Bed’s store or site.

Well… we did carry that book at the request of some customers, but now that Lee had a chance to give it a closer look it is outta here!
