So I just got an email today from a company that is coming out with a hand-crank powered vibe. They tout it as being 100% Environmentally Friendly (which drives me nuts, 100% Environmentally Friendly is not really possible unless you are making NOTHING) and it could be cool… but I am anxious to see what the power is like, how long it lasts on one charge and how much you have to crank it to power it up (“hold on a second baby, I have to spend 20 minutes cranking this vibe up” just isn’t going to fly). Plus, it is a little un-sexy looking.
That said, we’ll check it out when it makes its way to the US (this fall they say). But my question is, does this interest you?
xoxo,

YES. absolutely. infact, if you dont list them, we’d just buy it from the company direct! It’s amazing that the day i came to look at buying a vibe, you had one thats, er, right up our alley.
keep us posted.

As it is, probably not. If they came up with some more interesting designs then I may be interested, but a slimline vibe is not something I want. And yeah, I’d have to see how intense the vibrations are and how long I have to crank it for. As well as how long it will hold a charge because i really don’t want to have to turn a crank in order to get off.

I wouldn’t. I mean, I am all for saving the earth, but I would prefer not to run out of energy right before I orgasm. How irritating would that be! I know there is (was?) a recharging-by-way-of-sun vibe for sale- I would be much more likely to start with that.

why would have to waste an effort to crank it up before getting any pleasure? i wouldn’t buy that for sure…..

Vibrators don’t make up a very large percentage of the nation’s electricity usage. Better to cut back usage on lighting, air conditioning, TVs, etc.
If anyone is really concerned about the electricity use of vibrators then I’d suggest finding a solar charger for NiMH AAs.

I think it should be marketed as a product to put in people’s disaster relief supplies. Canned food, candles, bottled water, hand crank vibe, and Hydrogen peroxide.

oooo I do agree about that! Now I see a real purpose for this thing!

I agree – I like the idea – I sometimes do research in remote areas…it has a sort of…’Peace Corp volunteer – battery-less, thus dependable appeal.’

Is it like the old Vee Dee from 100 years ago?
That one qualified as an exercise machine also, I think
